Sunrise Shell Earrings
So sweet--2 little closely related shells have become part of a necklace/earring set. I would say these are more 'moonrise' than 'sunrise'--so very pretty with a touch of sparkle using crystal beads...

Yellow Sunrise Shell
This traditional shell has a lemon and cream seed bead chain with touches of pale green and bits of pink coral. I will retake these photos in better lighting, as the color doesn't do it justice. This would really be a nice gift for someone wanting a taste of the islands...
Sunrise Shell 'Clown'
My daughter calls these multi-colored, 'checkered' shells "Clowns". But there are all shades of golds/orange/green/blue and even a touch of peach on this one. It has a fun, matching glass bead chain. It actually looks more random in color than the photos suggest.
Little Dark Sunrise Shell
Nice little shell and probably a Moonrise since it has such nice dark bands of greens and gray/blues. Chain represents the shell well with some lemon crystals.
Moonrise Shell from Hawaii
This mottled shell is darker--shades of green/grayblue on the yellow, thus I am calling it a Moonrise Shell rather than a Sunrise Shell. The beadwork is very complimentary with lemons and the aforementioned colors plus a black lava bead here and there.

Red Sunrise Shell from Kauai
Wow--This shell was found yesterday evening in an almost clean state--one of the brightest red-oranges seen so far. It is a little larger than a bottle cap and will clean up nicely. Not sure what the white sections should be called, but it reminds me of a checkerboard!
'Bruised Tiger' Sunrise Shell
This sunrise shell has earned the name of 'bruised tiger' since he has a dark gray-green area running along side his nice stripes and occasional marks here and there. The beads really compliment his coloring...
Sunrise Shell on White
Here's a little yellow-gray shell that features tiger stripes on one side only--there's nothing wrong with not being symmetrical!
Gray Yellow Sunrise Shell on Gray
A little beauty here--gray/yellow sunrise shell on a gray/yellow chain. Nice little 'tiger stripes' on the sides of this shell.

Sunrise Shells on Handmade Bowl
A different group of shells from the post directly below. I'd forgotten to mention that the glistening bowl under the shells is a handmade item too. Again, many wonderful shells and two tiny ones to be made into earrings in the future.
New Group of Sunrise Shells
Here is a lovely group of sunrise shells and darker moonrise--lots of variety in color and pattern--some simple and fresh, others intricately colorful!

Sunrise Shell With Pinks and Apricots
This one is a little yellow pink sunrise shell with pinkish coral tidbits strung between whites/pinks/apricots. About the size of a nickel.
Sunrise Shells and Moonrise Shells
Gorgeous color and a variety of sizes all displayed on a bed of chunky sea glass!
Lemon Sunrise, Dark Moonrise, Greenies, Oranges, Clouds, Checkerboards....so fun to discover these magical shells of Hawaii. Look at the size of some of these monsters (see quarter on 2nd photo); all on this photo are larger than dime-sized.

Yellow-green Sunrise Shell
Calm, metallic brown seed beads and larger greens correspond well with neutral whites to draw your attention to this yellow green sunrise shell topped with a rosy pinkish tinge.
Lovely Sunrise Shell-- w/ some Moonrise Shell Colors.
The teensiest bits of red-orange glass seed beads really bring out the colors in this Hawaiian Shell. While the bead chain is a reserved gray, touches of yellows compliment the shell.
Orange Cloud Sunrise Shell
A deep orange sunrise shell alive with floating white clouds and a bit of mulberry at the top. This shell features black 'lava stone' beads and some peachy-pink coral bits. Larger than a nickel--a good size.
Large Sunrise Shell
This is a monster of a shell--beautifly beaded with modest tones of browns, bits of green and a little punch of lemon higher up on the strand. Outstanding--a stunner of a necklace; it's the size of a 50cent piece!
Sunrise Shell for Kids
Colorful beads in a variety of shapes and sizes add a cheerful flair to this necklace--perhaps something a youngster would enjoy?!
Sparkling Wedding Sunrise Shell
This dainty shell features beadwork in pastels--a nice little remembrance of a beach honeymoon or holiday.
